From The Newsletter, issue 8, Winter 2004/5

We would like to thank the Host Families without whom the project would not be able to support the homeless young people of South Ribble. Over the past 12 months we have seen many young people and it is apparent that the situation is not getting any better. Our Hosts have worked extremely hard and have made themselves available, they are always willing to help our young people in their time of need. We look forward to working with our Hosts over the coming year and hope that some of you will seriously consider becoming Host Families and support some of the most vulnerable people in our locality..

Training...

Eight training sessions have been provided on such issues: Health & Safety, Listening and Supporting Young People parts 1-2, Drug Abuse, Health Issues, Confidentiality, What Happens If and Financial Matters. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to these sessions. We feel everyone who has attended will have gained useful information and help to support young people. The next sessions shall be very important with the project being reviewed in July 2005, therefore we shall be having two sessions early in the new year on Supporting People requirements.
